Chengchao(Josh) Huang was born in mainland China and has spent more than 10 years of his life in the United States pursuing his academic and professional career. Josh found his passion in music recording and production through countless encounters and collaborations with talented musicians throughout his time in the US.
Josh finished his bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Music Technology. After careful evaluations of his skills and passion for music production, Josh applied to the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University for a Master’s degree in Recording Arts and Sciences and is currently taking the second year of his Master’s program.
With the Peabody platform, Josh has worked with many musicians and composers across genres including but not limited to Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Rock. The most recent commissioned project was a contemporary Classical chamber music album with solo violinist Claire Hebeisen entitled “Yearnings for Home.”
